It's a hot toy, I can't wait till Maryland gets them. Even my boyfriend who is not a fan of Power Rangers thinks they're neat.

LOL Yeah, she's quite understanding. She's been on so many toy runs with me that we've both started to lose count. And with her being a Target employee, the discount and her chance for first dibs (or pretty much close to it) is an excellent bonus. (Before anyone says anything, I loved her for years before she got that job. lol)

Well I'm just about at that point. I'm literally surrounded by stores that carry toys for miles around and each one has NADA!
I have never had this kind of trouble finding toys that should have been out months ago. Well, actually, I am having the same trouble with the very last wave of Mega Bloks Neo-Shifters, but that's another story...

I can understand your frustration, but I can honestly tell you that the wait will soon be over. If PA has already gotten in the newest wave of Megazords, I'd say the Midwest doesn't have much longer of a wait.
Part of the problem is the economy, another part is sales performance.
I have a perfect example of this, actually...
TransFormers Animated came onto the scene after the first movie hit in 2007. The popularity was at an all time high and the 'toon worked. The ratings for the pilot were among the largest in Cartoon Network's history. Sounds good so far, right? Not quite.
The pilot premiered December 26th '07, the show started on or around the first week of January '08. but the toys were delayed until June to appease the retailers who were having enormous sale figures of the movie line toys. (First nail in the coffin.)
The toys came out and stores over ordered the first two waves, and once everyone and their brother got what they needed, the rest of the shelved/pegged figures stopped selling. The following waves started coming all at once, and usually one or two cases per shipment (which means the shortpacks sold out almost instantly, but also refreshed the older figures that weren't selling already.) (Second nail in the coffin.)
Then the show went on hiatus for almost a year, and just before that, the ratings of season 2 were slowly declining. The kids had nothing to connect the toys to, so the sales stopped pretty much. (Third nail in the coffin.)
Then Revenge Of The Fallen was due out this Summer, and with damaged economy hitting everyone like a sneak attack blitz from Mike Tyson, sales in general just went through the floor for everyone. So Hasbro put Animated and Universe 2.0 (the updated G1 figures like Ironhide/Ratchet, Sideswipe/Sunstreaker, etc.) on the back burner (for the former) and on indefinite hiatus (the latter) until Christmas of this year (again the former), and sometime in Spring/Mid 2010 (again the latter.) to make way for ROTF toys to have their space on the shelves.
Sales were great at first, but now they're stalling out and new stock barely trickles out. It's a risky gamble, and in the long run, could hurt Hasbro.
From what it sounds like, Bandai is facing the same problems:
Ratings are low.
Sales are slow.
Economy is almost in the tank and everybody's having a bad time right now.
Disney's basically kicking PR to the curb (or selling it off to the highest bidder willing to play by their rules.)
So, it's not unreasonable for them to delay the toys until a better fiscal season arrives. And that would be Christmas time. Store resets are due at all the major retailers within the next 6-7 weeks (which means new stock, or re-prioritized setups to promote sales), and parents will soon be on the prowl for something to put under the tree for little Billy and Molly.
It sucks, I know, but patience is unfortunately required. I've learned that the hard way.

Yep. With the upcoming seasonal resets, there's no reason to believe we'll miss out on the new PR figures. Just because a few scalpers got their hands on some early case shipments doesn't mean the public won't get a chance in the long run.
I wouldn't be surprised if we see all of the Ranger figures and Zords available at retail by the end of the year. Hell, we might even see them go on clearance.
On another subject...
I found this:
http://ooebihara.sakura.ne.jp/toys/s.../enjin0918.jpg It lead me to study the US version a bit closer, (because it was never mentioned in the instructions) and sure enough, it can do it.
So, aside from a few changes, these toys are pretty much the same as their Japanese counterparts and can pretty much replicate what they were able to do.
I'm seriously impressed, especially at the low, low price of $100.00 for all of the entire Ultrazord.
