You left out "2D Platforming". Plenty of 3D Platforming Mario games have come out since World.

I am quite glad they have returned to 2D for a console release and not stuck to the "New= easy" of the DS game. NSMB Wii is the proper and right Mario mix of ease to get into and difficulty ramp in which learning and mastering platforming skills is spot on. It does what the first game did so well way back in the 8-Bit days. Anyone can do the first stages, but as with Super Mario Bros. 3, you'll have trouble if you haven't learned how to use each suit and jump perfectly.

I'm really happy they managed to make it a great game single player or multi-player. It is first and foremost meant for single player to enjoy, as with all good platformers it's perfection is making you move and jump just right. Multi-player however is fun with friends, you may not play the final levels with it unless you have a really understanding friend/family member/lover/super-intelligent ape, but you'll get a lot of joy out doing or messing with your mate as you play. That and you can find the coins a lot easier with them.

I love it, just a great game for a platforming fan like myself. Now to just hope Project Needlemouse for Sonic and Rocket Knight remake/semi-sequel don't disappoint. They along with Joe & Mac, Toki, Wario Shake, Kolona rumoured sequel being planned, Fancy Pants Adventure, Mirror's Edge 2D, Staffi, Mega Man 9, and so forth are all doing great to revitalise my favourite genre of games.
--------------------------

Oh if you own a PS3. Buy Demon's Souls. It's the PS3 game worth buying a system for, it's the game with intriguing and smart online system worth using, and it's the type of game you can play thousands of hours on.

I can't wait till I try it out with my friends, we'll be badmouthing each other for deliberatly killing each other, stealing powerups or screwing up in the stages. It's Little Big Planet all over again.

Yeah, I did forget about "2D", but when I look at 64, Sunshine and Galaxy, I personally don't consider them as platformers.

SIGH! I really should just avoid forums altogether.

I was at the IGN/Metal Gear Solid board, and the leaked story for Splinter Cell Conviction was spoilt on me. Great...oh well.

I was still in the air on NSMBWii.

Then I saw the Koopa Kids in that trailer. Day one purchase.

Yeah, I dunno why, but the presence of those kids seems to have an appeal.

I was pretty psyched when I saw them in Superstar Saga.

Pre-ordered NSMB, and bought Need For Speed: Nitro and Rock Band: Unplugged to go with it. I should be able to enjoy them on Tuesday and Wednesday, which I have off.

Got Tag Force 4 and the PSP version of Tekken 6 to pay off soon, I gotta take care of YGO this week but I don't need to worry about Tekken until the week after.

I had to ditch my PS2 and PSP copies of Tekken 5, got too sued to the new tweaks it's awkward to play it.

I haven't been buying games lately. Just playin them.

I have been heavily into Super Mario 64 DS. Got about 50 stars in about 2 months. Unlocked Wario, finished off all the courses that I needed him for, Cool, Cool Mountain, Big Boo's Haunt, Jolly Roger Bay, I am soooo stuck in Shifting Sand Land. It's the 5th course. You need Wario to break a big rock to reveal a switch star. Go into a cannon and shoot yourself over the sand pit from Hell, and pray that you can get over without sinking. I have tried to use Mario in the mission. By first using Wario to break the switch-star brick, grab the Mario cap, unlock the cannon, get the wing cap, and fly over to the switch star, and just fly over to the star. No luck yet. I always get killed either as Wario or trying to get the damn wing cap!

I know it's possible to shoot yourself out of the cannon as fat-ass Wario and land successfully, cause I've seen a video of someone doing it. But every time I attempt it, I fall into the pit of death and sink. So that's why I'm trying to use Mario.

Capcom has just confirmed that RE5:AE will be released in North America, Europe, and Australia in the form of downloadable content.
Awhile back Capcom announced that they were going to let the fans decide the fate of how Capcom will distribute the Alternative Edition of Resident Evil 5 outside of Japan. The votes have been tallied up, and it looks like the PSN is the way to get the new content.

Apparently 1,500 people voted for DLC, while only 900 voted for a disc only product, with 300 comments being posted on the Capcom Unity forums. When the Alternative Edition released in Spring 2010, all that is needed now is an internet connection and the original RE5.

It’s really interesting to see that Capcom is listening to the fans and won’t be requiring gamers to buy RE5 again. However, it doesn’t seem like RE5:AE is anything like Super Street Fighter IV, where the core gameplay is being tweaked, expanded on, and completely redone in so many different aspects of the game.

Sounds good...

Super Mario World 2?

Or does that not count because you played Yoshi with Baby Mario riding him?

Do'h, oh yeah I forgot about that.

But then again, most consider that as more of a Yoshi title then a Mario title. I mean when most people refer to the game, they don't call it Super Mario World 2, do they?

Though I do wonder why they even put SMW2 in the title in the first place since it aint even a sequel.

Damn it. I'm going to have to get a PS3 sooner rather than later. DC Universe Online looks too damn good to pass up.

Modern Warfare 2 just came out and it is probably the best game coming out this year.

More like overhyped. Retailers are just using this as an excuse to jack the price up.
I'm not going to buy it. Not for a while.

I don't care for the game either...but jacking the price up? It's listed as the retail of $60 USD...the standard for most games, excluding special/limited editions...
