Why do people keep saying that? What would the thread be trying to "fool anyone" with? It's a call to keep RB open. It is in no way a statement saying that RB is staying open. Ray's statement about keeping the board open is, I'm about 99% sure, a joke, but the first post says nothing regarding the status of RB staying open.

Something was said very sincerely, yet timed around the typical time people expect a joke from the staff. This exchange could have happened at any time this year, also in private or over PMs. Yet it was publicized for everybody.

The only "joke" (upon analysis) is that people are "playing themselves" waiting for the punchlilne.

At any rate, I'm glad the board will remain.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The whole Ray closing shop at the end of the year thing was the April Fools joke and now that its past April 1st he's dropping it.

Either that or he seriously was considering closing it and Phil's thread really did change his mind. I guess its... a possiblity...

Actually, as a Moderator myself, I'm not sure what's on Ray's mind.
In a Top Secret meeting with all of us in January this year, he said he is considering shutting it down. And the rumours (or actual news) that RPM would be the last season, he said he was actually excited that it's finally happening!

Maybe a little bit of Tacos and Beer will make him talk.

This is all so confusing. First PR is ending, then it's not, then Disney says no comment. Then RB is closing, then it isn't, then it might. Oy...it's too much to take LOL.
