- Hooray! Ziggy in the credits. He deserves it.
- Why does that gun look familiar?
- "I thought you'd be a dude." Very blunt. Perfect.
- Good Lord. Does Dr. K have Asperger's? The girl completely lacks all forms of tact. She flat out admits that she doesn't even like Ziggy. It is cool that a mentor hates one of her rangers.
- Less semi-nude Ziggy, please. I'm also a little bummed that his power is the same power that the entire ranger team used to have with PR started.
- I just put two and two together. Ziggy's past perfectly explains why he was wearing a suit when we met him.
- They haven't had a lot of interaction but Ziggy and Flynn have had quite a few good little moments together.
- "The giant magnet ran away." You tell 'em Flynn!
- OH SNAP! I'm sure this is what everyone is going to be talking about from this episode. Jungle muthafuckin' Karma pizza. So in the future RJ's pizza place becomes a massive franchise. See? Now that's a cute reference that doesn't fuck with continuity.
- Gamma sickness? Man, this is some fairly heavy shit for PR having an orphanage try to get medicine on the black market. I'm going to need to watch this episode a few more times because they're hitting us with so much that it's hard to watch and take breaks during the commercials to type about it all.
- Oh look. An extended fight with footsoldiers and a monster that didn't immediately degenerate into massive explosions. See? It's the little things that count. But the extra morph sequence did seem a little forced. Not a big deal.
- Flynn's accent makes it sound like he said, "Asian Cell."
- Awww, Ziggy's a nice guy! We knew it was coming but it was still sweet.
- Is Dr. K's outfit supposed to be a Harry Potter reference? I'm not big on Dr. K sorta overcoming her fear of the outside world during the same episode it'se revealed that she has it. Hmmm... on of the guys she blasted was Samoan based on his Rock-like tattoo.
---
Overall I liked everything I saw but it did feel a tad rushed. We had A LOT revealed this week and the only major fault was that it felt like we could have had these revelations spread out a tad more. Still, Dr. K as an actual person is already adding a lot to the team. She joins Dillon and Ziggy as the most focused on, most interesting characters of the show. Sadly, I'm still waiting on more development for the rangers in primary colors. Let's see if all of their upcoming focus episodes will change that.

RPM 6 comments:
- Exactly how old is this K, princess of arrogant brats? And why was she behind a screen all this time anyway?
- If Corinth is supposed to be in the US, then that driving test scene is a gross oversight by the crew.
- Ohho? Jungle Karma Pizza...
- Oh joy, the pointless Go-On mecha combos begin to rear their ugly heads.
So right now this show is shaping up to be an improvement over Go-On. But only Ziggy and Dillon have the interesting backstories. The rest are essentially drones at the moment. Drones lead by a 4-foot tall jerk. Wonderful.

What a great episode through and through.
Solid morphed and unmorphed fighting, a PR universe realistic and serious villain based off a goofy Sentai one (just like MMPR), wire use that was low key and useful. Zord battle was short and sweet.
The RPM world is really built up as well. Mafia with amusing names straight out of a Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego show, an orphanage, kids that exist for plot points instead of monster bait, and part of the actual Venjix takeover.
They didn't even pretend anymore that it wasn't New Zealand, they just let it slide and it's better off for it. Silly Kiwi car with a Kiwi license plate with a kiwi Student Driver sticker in front of a silly Kiwi tower.
Sure it's not the best television I've ever seen, but it's Power Rangers done right and the first time I actualy had the same feeling of joy as a PR fan since I was a kid.
I've missed it so.
Dr. K definitely was distant, but that's not Asperger. I'm betting they are going to tell us she was a child genius brought into science early and never spent much time outside with others.
Hopefully we see more of the mob boss as well as the series goes on. Something about Power Rangers working with a criminal and acknowledging criminal activity as a fact of life is quite refreshing after every other PR has been so basic archetypes good guys.

Some very diverse gang members they have there. That said, Ziggy's full backstory and new powers, the misunderstanding with the vault, more Dr. K, the sonic blaster ending up important to the story, some nice fights. A great episode all around, with the same fun that RPM has come to deliver.
Next up is Ranger Red, so to everyone who's going to point out the lack of the core three: It's on the way.

I knew Ziggy was involved with trying to join the cartels, hence the suit.
JKP, I was half expecting to hear R.J. yell something actually. Nice touch though, even without an R.J. reference.
I was driving yesterday for school since I have a few lessons yet before I get my license, yeah, Ziggy's at least better than some people I've driven with.
Another great episode, but no Venjix scenes...I wanted to see the generals, see what happened to them, like if they were replaced or something.

My Ranger Green comments;
Finally! Ziggy credited as a Ranger
I was really excited about the Ranger (Color) episodes, and so far Green's was excellent! I hope the other three Rangers' epsidodes turn out the same way.
I REALLY liked in the flashback scene, seeing Ziggy at the Jungle Karma Pizza Parlour!!!
Ziggy gets his behind arrested and deposited in jail again... wow, just wow.
I think I like Dr. K's computer voice better, well I'm not sure about that but I'm more used to her comuter voice that her natural one. She kinda sounds like Boukenger's Kaze no Shizuka.
I was hopping they do a battle at that plaza but oh well...
RPM is turning out to be a much better series than I expected! But I highly doubt it if I would like it better than SPD and Overdrive!

I agree another very good episode. Nice to see ziggy's power is teleporation man we havent had that for a ranger(rangers) in years. I always missed when they got rid of it. The plot about ziggy was also nice to get more of his background. I almost expected the mob guy to be his father/uncle or some other family member with the way things where going. It was also nice to see that in the end ziggy was actually a good guy. The fights were pretty cool and it was great to see ziggy's zord combine with the megazord. Also a magent monster is always cool to see. Its one type of monster we have is pretty much all seasons give or take a few i believe. Though his voice/speech was a bit strange. I might have to check out the episode again to rewatch some stuff.

Now that Ziggy's entire backstory has been put into place, it makes way for the rest of the team to shine. The reason why I don't particularly mind the focus on Ziggy (and we've had quite a bit) is because it's interesting. That's what was wrong with Mystic Force: not that it was the Nick show, but because Nick was boring.
Overall the episode was fun and balanced comedy and drama well. 4/5.

Great episode. I really really hope that the rest of the "Ranger ___" episodes are this good and give the other guys as much backstory.
Even though this was another Ziggy episode, it did answer a lot of questions, such as why Ziggy was outside of Corinth at the beginning of the series and why the Mafia... um, Cartels... were after him. And even though everybody took shots at Ziggy's competence in this episode, defying five cartels and driving a bunch of stolen goods to save an orphanage of sick kids is pretty badass.
Teleportation isn't a horrible power for Ziggy, I guess. They used it nicely to have him end up in the bank and get arrested, leading explanation of his past. I dug it. And I like Dr. K a lot more now that she's revealed. It's cool having a mentor who is kinda bitchy and who didn't even like one of her Rangers. It's a nice break from the normal Zordon-type mentor who babies his/her Rangers and rarely shows any kind of personality.
There were a lot of men running around in their underwear in this episode. I thought this was supposed to be a kid's show?
Also, first de-morph of the season!
This one was as good as "Go for the Green" and was better than "Handshake," so it's a five for me. Can't wait to get more "Ranger ___" episodes so we can actually learn something about the core three (although I do like that Summer gets screentime and isn't shoved into the background like a lot of girl rangers).

She's most likely a kid genius who's been around science all her life. She's done amazing things with her intellect and continues to do so. While her focus episode is a ways away, there are likely some very good reasons why she is the way she is.

Great ep!
-I really liked when the mobsters went to Jungle Karma Pizza.
- I did not think the mobsters would return but this episode was better then the first one
-The gun looked like the beetleborgs gun
- Ziggy helping a orphanage was just so touching and makes me like the character even better.
-RPM takes place after JF because Jungle Karma Pizza is still around.
It seems like they are only focusing on Ziggy and Dillon in this series. Scott does not seem like a red ranger.
Is Jungle Karma Pizza a franchise? Or was that meant to be RJs restaurant?

Probably the weakest episode of the series here, with that being said IT STILL gets a 4/5. This show is fucking awesome. I love it.
Also, the southside sweetooths are immense. I'd join that gang.
