Granted, I am basing this off to Youtube comments which are retarded, but stay with me. I saw the trailer vid, and aside from the usual toku-newbs commenting negatively at anything non-weaboo, we have the others complaining at the rather ignorable tidbits.
Is it really worth it to hate RPM because of those minor tidbits? If there are things to hate on the show, what are they?
Some people bitch that RPM doesn't feel like PR. And I respect that. But it's so nice to have actual stories instead of Koichi Sakamoto blowing up New Zealand. Because that's how he gets himself off. And all the focus on Dillion is another issue with the RPM haters. But I'm glad it's not all about the Red Ranger again. Something Kalish loved to shove down our throats.

Wow the only thing I can say negativly so far about the show is that I wish Scott would just step up and be a more notable...assertive leader rather that everybody just naturally following
There are people who say that RPM doesn't feel like Power Rangers, but the question really is is "What is Power Rangers to you?"
Because having colored spandex and rubber monsters is what ties all the seasons together and makes it "Power Rangers". Everything else is flavor. Just because you don't like the flavor doesn't mean it's not Power Rangers.

Pretty much...altough i think people want to say that it feels more like a sitcom or tv show rather than wat power rangers should feel like...corny but it has its moments of "Oh Shit! That was awsome!" But as far as im concerned Disney ruined that feel awhile ago....but this is not another why we hate disney thread

That's what I'm saying. I mean I don't really understand it. I won't say that RPM isn't different from past seasons in some ways but it's far from not Power Rangers. The only halfway decent arguement I've seen is lack of core three focus but that's kind of irrelevent at this point since we know it's coming.

IT'S NOT SPANDEX! Sorry I just had to do that.
But anyway here are the reasons I have heard for not liking it. I love it, but these could be the complaints that I see.
1. Lack of focus on core rangers
2. Too much focus on Ziggy and Dillon (goes with #1)
3. Doesn't "feel" like Power Rangers
4. Lack of focus on Villains
5. Lack of ranger action (more for the first few episodes but anyway)
6. Cartoonish looking zords (nothing Disney could do about this)
7. Dr. K is annoying (I have heard this from a few people, don't agree)
8. No one really knows when this is set.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head, but I would say that there isn't enough reasons to hate this show. It is actually really good.
It's definitely the sweeping feeling of change from the same old, same old. Clever things make people feel stupid and unexpected things make them feel scared.

People keep saying there's a lack of focus on the core rangers as well. No offense to you people, but YOU KNOW THE FOCUS IS COMING. I mean, you know. The upcoming episode titles are clearly about the core three. It's there. Plain as day. So why complain about something that you know is coming?
And there's a lot of ranger action, to the point sometimes where I get bored.
All the other stuff you said I can understand. It's just flavor.
YouTube is full of n00bs who aren't worth the attention. They complain how "nothing beats hte original" and how "sentai is better" and shite like that. They just look for anything to rip at and compain about.
PR hasn't 'felt' like PR to me since the end of DT. RPM at least has decent stories...a little too much action at times...but decent stories. That's enough to keep me from complaining too much when you consider the crappy writing of recent seasons. I don't think any PR fan would have too much hate for RPM considering what we, as a fandom, have sat through the last few years.

Honestly it didn't felt like PR during the first episode, due to the lack of the ranger suits appearing. RPM started for me when Ziggy said "Power Rangers"
As for complaints, i don't really have none. Several problems now can be easily resolved with explanations in future episodes. As for the Zords, well that was what they had to work with when mixing it into the apocolyptic storyline.

Everytime i hear that I think "felt like PR" means "standards".Past PR had, to fans, better writing and acting when compared to recent seasons. But this is "standards" I do side with Lisa on this, all PR seasons involved Spandex, megazord fights, and MOTD's. PR is PR, just the quality of it has differed.
